The AI receptionist that texts you every lead: the short answer
Nora is an AI voice agent that answers your business line after hours in your business name, books the job on your calendar inside the rules you set, and then texts you a summary of every call: the caller's name, number, address, problem, and the booked time or callback time. The text comes to you, so you read last night's calls first thing in the morning with no voicemail to play back. $297 a month, with $897 setup month to month or $0 setup on a 12-month plan. Hear her yourself: call (816) 683-2229. Calling Nora is the demo.
Key takeaways
- Every after-hours call Nora answers ends with a text to you. Name, number, address, problem, booked time. One line you can read on a job site.
- There are two kinds of "AI receptionist that texts." One texts you the lead. One texts the caller. Nora does the first as standard. Texting the caller is available on request, and only once your texting registration is approved.
- Invoca's research found "27% of calls to home services businesses are not answered" (invoca.com, May 23, 2024). A text summary is how an answered call reaches you when you were under a sink.
- One plan, one price: $297 a month. $897 setup (non-refundable) month to month, or $0 setup on a 12-month plan. Cancel the 12-month plan early and the waived $897 becomes due (bluraisolutions.com).
- No dashboard, no app to learn. We have no built CRM integrations. The text is the handoff.
What is in the text Nora sends you?
Five things, in this order:
- The caller's name.
- Their number, read back to them in groups on the call so it is right.
- The address.
- The problem, in the caller's words.
- The booked time, or the callback time if that job type needs you first.
A sample, with a sample name and time:
New job: no hot water, Maria, booked tomorrow 8 AM.
If you marked the job type as urgent in setup, it sits at the top of the text. Nora can ask the deciding question, for example "Is water running right now?", so the summary tells you which call to return first.
Texting you vs texting the caller: which one do you need?
| Texting you (lead notification) | Texting the caller (missed-call text-back) | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Nora answers, takes the details, books or sets a callback, then texts you the summary. | Your phone system sends the caller an automatic text when you do not pick up. |
| Who gets the text | You, at the number you give in setup. | The customer. |
| Does the call get answered? | Yes. Nora answers in your business name. | No. The caller still hit voicemail or a ring-out. |
| Included with Nora? | Yes, on every after-hours call. | Available on request, not included in the plan, and only once texting registration is approved. |
| When it fits | You want the job booked and the details in your hand by morning. | You want a cheaper stopgap and will call back yourself. |
Most trades owners asking for "an AI receptionist that sends leads by text" mean the first column. The second column is covered in the missed call text back guide, including the carrier registration rules that apply before any business can text customers.
Why does a lead by text beat a voicemail?
Because a voicemail has to be played, and a text can be read. You were on a job when the phone rang at 9:47 PM. With voicemail, the morning starts with a queue of recordings, some hang-ups, and a few numbers to write down. With Nora, the morning starts with five short lines per call and the booked jobs already on your calendar.
The size of the problem is not small. Invoca's research on home services businesses found that 27 percent of calls were not answered (invoca.com). Nora's job is the after-hours share of those calls: answer, ask one question at a time, book by your rules, text you.
Use your own numbers in the missed-call calculator. It runs in your browser and nothing is saved or sent.
How does the text reach you, and how fast?
The summary is sent when the call ends, to the number you give on the setup form. The form takes about 10 minutes and collects your hours, services, service area, calendar, and where to send your call summaries. You can change where the texts go later by telling us.
Nora does not quote prices on the call. She tells callers pricing depends on the job and that you will go over it. Anything she should not answer, she notes for you and says you will cover it. So the text never commits you to a number you did not set.
Can the text go into my CRM or job software instead?
We have no built CRM integrations. We log in and run Nora inside the tools you already use: your business line, your calendar, your phone. The text is the handoff, and it is deliberately simple. If you need the summary somewhere else, tell us on the setup call and we will say plainly whether we can do it before you pay.
What does it cost?
One plan. Plain price. The number is the same for every trade and every call volume.
| Month to month | 12-month plan | |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | $897, non-refundable | $0 |
| Monthly | $297 | $297 |
| Commitment | Cancel anytime; service stops at the end of the paid month. | 12 months. Cancel early and the waived $897 setup becomes due by manual invoice. |
| After the term | Renews at $297 until you cancel. | Continues month to month at $297. |
Included: after-hours answering, calendar booking by your rules, and a text summary of every after-hours call. Available on request and not included in the plan: emergency transfer, missed-call text-back, Spanish, daytime overflow, callback. Checkout and your card statement will show Crypto Boutique, our parent company. Your receipt will list the Blur AI Solutions package you are buying.
How is Nora set up on my line?
- Hear her. Call (816) 683-2229. The demo line does not book, because booking is set up with each client on their own line.
- Fill in the setup form, about 10 minutes: hours, services, service area, calendar, where to send the summaries.
- We build Nora for your business: your name, your greeting, the jobs you take and the ones you do not, which job types get booked and which get a callback.
- We set up call forwarding with you and run test calls. You place a few yourself.
- She goes live when you say go. Live within about a week.
Who this is not for
Businesses that want a live person on every call. Nora is an AI voice agent, not a call center. Also not a fit: anyone who needs the summary pushed into job software automatically. We have no built CRM integrations.
Frequently asked questions
Does Nora text me after every call?
Every after-hours call she answers ends with a text to you: name, number, address, problem, booked time or callback time.
Can Nora text the customer too?
Missed-call text-back to the caller is available on request and is not included in the plan. It can only be switched on once your business's texting registration with the carriers is approved. The missed call text back guide explains the rules.
Does the text include the price Nora quoted?
No. Nora does not quote prices. She tells callers pricing depends on the job and that you will go over it, and the text records the problem so you can price it.
Can the summary go to two people?
Tell us where the summaries should go on the setup form, and tell us if that changes. We will say plainly on the setup call what we can and cannot do.
What does an AI receptionist that texts leads cost?
$297 a month. $897 setup month to month, or $0 setup on a 12-month plan. The price is the same for every answer on the pricing page.
Is Nora a real person?
No. Nora is an AI voice agent. She speaks naturally, asks one question at a time, and if a caller sincerely asks whether she is AI, she says so.
