You are on a job when the phone rings after hours. If it goes to voicemail, that caller may dial the next shop.

Nora is an AI voice agent. She answers your business line after hours, in your business name. On your line, she books the job on your calendar inside the rules you set. Then she texts you a summary.

Hear her yourself: call (816) 683-2229. Calling Nora is the demo. She may greet you as Blur AI Solutions or as a sample shop. The demo line does not book appointments. After you hear her, you talk with John. He explains exactly how it works and sets it up together with you.

How the booking works, step by step

Once Nora is set up on your line, every after-hours call goes the same way.

  1. Call. A customer calls your business number after hours.
  2. Answer. Nora answers in your business name and asks what is going on, one question at a time.
  3. Book. She books an open slot on your calendar, inside the hours, days off, and job types you set.
  4. Summary text. You get a text with the caller's name, number, address, problem, and booked time or callback time.

When a job needs you first

Some jobs should not go straight on the calendar. You may want to talk through the scope before anyone shows up. For those job types, Nora does not book. She takes the caller's best time for a callback and puts it in your summary text. You decide which jobs go which way.

How booking gets set up for your shop

Calendar booking is set up for each client during setup, on your own line. A short setup form collects your hours, services, service area, calendar, and where to send your call summaries. It takes about 10 minutes.

Then we build Nora for your business: your business name, your greeting, the jobs you take and the ones you don't. We set up call forwarding with you. You place test calls. She goes live when you say go.

Your booking rules sheet

Most AI receptionists are built for every business at once. Yours is a trade shop. A remodel quote and a no-hot-water call should not be handled the same way.

So we start with your rules. Think these through before your setup call.

This goes to John by email, for your setup call. Sending it does not start a plan or a charge. See privacy.

Got it. John will go over these rules with you on your setup call. Want to hear Nora now? Call (816) 683-2229.

The form did not send. Try again or call (816) 683-2229.

Days off: The days Nora never books.

Answering hours: When Nora picks up, such as nights, weekends, and holidays.

What counts as urgent: The problems you want marked at the top of your summary text. Nora can ask the deciding question, for example, "Is water running right now?"

You can change any rule later by telling us.

Then hear Nora, and talk with John

Call (816) 683-2229 and listen to how she handles a caller. The demo line is for hearing her voice and her questions. It does not book appointments, because booking is set up with each client on their own line. After the call, talk with John directly. He walks through how it would work for your shop and sets it up with you.

What the caller hears

Sample call, illustration only. Sample name and times.

Nora: Thanks for calling. How can I help? Caller: I have no hot water. Nora: Sorry to hear that. Can I get your name? Caller: Maria. Nora: Thanks, Maria. What is the best number to call you back?

She reads the number back in groups so it is right. She takes the address and the problem. On your line, she books an open slot inside your rules, or takes a callback time if that job type needs you first. She repeats the details once and says goodbye.

She does not quote prices. She tells callers pricing depends on the job and that you will go over it. If a caller asks something she should not answer, she says you will cover it on the callback. She does not guess.

What lands on your phone: the summary text

After every after-hours call, you get a text with:

  • The caller's name
  • Their number
  • Their address
  • The problem
  • The booked time, or the callback time

Sample summary, example only:

New job: no hot water, Maria, booked tomorrow 8 AM.

Calls you have marked as urgent show at the top. Robocalls and sales pitches get a polite no and are marked as spam, so you can ignore them.

What is included, and what is on request

Included in the plan:

  • After-hours answering on your business line, on the hours you set
  • Calendar booking, inside your rules: which slots, which days off, which job types
  • A summary of every after-hours call, sent to you by text

Available on request, ask us. These are not included in the plan:

  • Emergency transfer
  • Missed-call text-back
  • Spanish
  • Daytime overflow
  • Callback

Booking is one step in our after-hours answering service for contractors, which covers greetings, emergencies, and spam.

When Nora answers, and keeping your number

Nora answers on the after-hours schedule you set: nights, weekends, holidays. She also answers any time you turn on call forwarding.

Calls that ring through while forwarding is on are handled the same way; see missed call answering with call forwarding.

You keep your business number. It forwards to Nora when you are closed. We set up the forwarding with you and show you how to turn it off.

Setup follows the same four steps every time; here is how we install it. You are live within about a week.

Questions before you call

Can an AI receptionist really book appointments on my calendar? Yes, once John sets it up with you on your line. Nora then books open slots on your calendar, inside the hours, days off, and job types you set. If a job needs you first, she takes the best time for a callback instead. Booking is part of the plan, not an add-on. You get a summary text after the call either way.

What rules can I set for booking? You set which time slots Nora can book, which days are off, and which job types she books versus which get a callback. You also set the hours she answers. You give us your greeting, service area, and job types during setup. You can change any rule later by telling us.

What is in the summary text? After every after-hours call, you get a text with the caller's name, their number, their address, the problem, and the booked time or callback time. Calls you decide are urgent are marked at the top. Robocalls and sales pitches are marked as spam, so you can skip them and get back to work.

How much does it cost? $297 a month. Month to month: $897 setup, which is non-refundable, cancel anytime. 12-month plan: no setup fee, and the $897 is owed only if you cancel before the 12 months end. That covers after-hours answering, calendar booking, and a summary text after every after-hours call. Extras like emergency transfer, Spanish, and daytime overflow are available on request and are not included in the plan.

Is Nora a real person? No. Nora is an AI voice agent. She answers in your business name, speaks naturally, and asks one question at a time. If a caller sincerely asks whether she is AI, she says so. She does not quote prices. She tells callers pricing depends on the job and that you will cover it.

How do I test it before I pay? Call (816) 683-2229 and listen to Nora. Calling Nora is the demo. She may greet you as Blur AI Solutions or as a sample shop. The demo line does not book appointments. After you hear her, talk with John. He explains exactly how it works and sets it up together with you, on your own line.
