Guide
Ask when the work still feels finished, not forgotten.
Too early and it feels pushy. Too late and the feeling is gone. A short wait after the job is marked complete is the honest window.
The window
Wait two or three days after the status is Complete. The dust has settled. The customer has used the result. You are not asking while they still have a broom in their hand.
What the note should do
Thank them. Point at the Google review link. Do not script a five-star speech. People write better reviews when you do not put words in their mouth.
Why a system beats a reminder
Reminders depend on the same tired person who just finished the job. A Review and Reputation System watches the status change, waits, and sends the request even on a busy Friday.
Who this is for
Local businesses that live on Google Maps. If you finish ten jobs a month and get one review, the ask is the missing step, not the work.
Pillar: Reviews should follow finished work, not a campaign.
